메리어트에 따르면 몇가지 정보의 업데이트가 있었습니다.
일단 유출 정보 건수가 5억건에서 3.8억건으로 줄었습니다.
그래봐야 어마어마한건 변하지 않네요.

유출된 정보에 대해서도 몇가지 정보가 나왔습니다.
우선 여권번호부터 알아보시죠.
암호화되지 않은 여권번호가 525만개, 암호화된 여권번호 2,030만개 유출되었다고 합니다.
카드번호는 총 860만건 유출되었다고 합니다.
이 중 54.4만개는 18.9월부로 유효한 카드번호라고 하네요.
메리어트에서는 여권 재발급 비용 지원 등 필요한 조치를 하겠다고 한 상황인데요.
아마 암호화되지 않은 여권만 해당되지 않을까 싶네요.
해외에서도 이러한 메리어트의 조치를 비판하는(까는) 기사들이 꽤 나왔었습니다.
아무튼 혹시 유출이 걱정되시는 분들은 메리어트 홈페이지에서 확인 가능합니다.
