1. 역사트래블앤레저는 우선 역사부터 깁니다. 내셔널 지오그래픽 트래블러가 1984년, 컨데 나스트 트래블러가 1987년 창간된 것에 비해서, 트래블앤레저는 무려 1937년부터 발행되었습니다. 창간된 지 80년이 넘은 매우 역사가 깊은 잡지입니다. 본사는 뉴욕에 있습니다.
2. 잡지명창간했을 때에는 'U.S. Camera and Travel'라는 이름으로 시작했는데요. 1971년이 현재의 이름인 트래블앤레저(Travel + Leisure)로 변경했습니다. 잡지명이 변경되기 전에는 Camera라는 단어가 들어있었던 것에서 알 수 있듯이 여행 관련 사진에 중점을 둔 잡지였는데요. 잡지명을 변경하면서 여행 전반에 걸친 잡지로 거듭났습니다.
3. 발행주체트래블앤레저는 원래 아멕스라고도 불리는 아메리칸 익스프레스(American Express) 산하의 아메리칸 익스프레스 출판사(American ExpressPublishing Corporation)에서 발행하고 있었습니다.
