가장 먼저 나온 곳은 포시즌스 시카고 입니다.
포시즌스 시카고에서는 아이스크림 직원이 '아이스크림맨' 카트를 끌고 케익과 아이스크림을 객실로 가져다 준다고 하네요.
아이스크림은 선디(Sundae, 선대) 형태로 제공되서 아이스크림 위에 토핑을 추가해준다고 합니다.

다음은 아일랜드 더블린에 있는 쉘번(쉘버른) 르네상스 호텔입니다.
이 호텔에는 아일랜드계 사람들을 위한 특별한 서비스가 있습니다.
바로 족보 버틀러(genealogy butler, 족보 집사)입니다.
족보학자인 Helen Kelly라는 분이 2007년부터 족보를 탐색해 주고 있다고 합니다.
자신들의 조상에 대한 정보를 제공해주면 각종 정보를 취합해 족보를 찾아준다고 하네요.
미국에는 약 4,000만명의 아일랜드계가 있다고 하는데요.
이런 분들에게 유용하겠네요.
호텔에 정말 많은 서비스들이 있는 것을 알지만 족보 버틀러는 정말 듣도 보도 못했는데요;;;

요새 로봇 버틀러를 채용하는 4성 호텔이 급속도로 늘어나고 있지요.
크게 특별할 것은 아닌듯 한데...ㅎㅎ

5. Viceroy Riviera Maya
다음은 멕시코에 있는 Viceroy Riviera Maya호텔입니다.
이번엔 비누인데요.
현지 마야 마을에서 만든 수박, 계피, 장미, 레몬, 초콜렛, 로즈마리, 복숭아 등의 향 비누를 제공한다고 합니다.
위에서 두 번째 사진에서 보시시다 시피 향을 선택하면 즉석에서 잘라준다고 하네요.
그 밖에 레몬그라스를 첨가한 코코넛 워터, 마야 주술사(샤먼, Mayan shaman)의 축복 등도 있다고 합니다.
개인적으로 비누는 아무리 비싼 것도 사람마다 호불호가 갈리는지라 마야 주술사의 축복이 더 시그니처가 될 것 같은데요.ㅎㅎㅎ
마야 민족들과 공존하며 운영하는 모습이 보기 좋네요.

웨스틴에서는 2013년부터 런닝 컨시어지(Westin’s global run concierge)를 운영했습니다.
책임자는 Chris Heuisler로 전세계 모든 호텔에서 런닝 프로그램을 제공합니다.
운동화 및 장비를 제공해 준다고 합니다.
여기서는 우리나라의 웨스틴조선호텔(The Westin Chosun Seoul)이 나왔는데요.
서울 시내 4.8킬로미터(3마일)를 조깅하는 코스를 운영하고 있다고 나와 있습니다.
다음번에 조선호텔 갔을때 문의해봐야겠어요.ㅎㅎ
또 The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort and Spa에서는 런닝 맵을 제공해 해변 등을 달릴 수 있도록 도움을 준다고 하네요.
