유엔세계관광기구(UNWTO)는 2021년 코로나로 인해 전세계 관광산업의 손실이
약 2조 달러(약 2,400조원)에 달할 것으로 예측했습니다.
2020년까지 합치면 4조 달러(4,800조원)에 달하는 수준입니다.

아무래도 해외 여행이 막힌 상황에서 로컬 여행이 활성화되었기 때문일 텐데요.
이런 상황을 잘 알고 있던 에어비앤비는
고객들의 재택근무에 맞게 와이파이(wi-fi)을 제공하거나
변경 가능한 일정으로 예약하는 기능 등을 제공하기로 했습니다.
또한 코로나 검사 등으로 예약을 취소한 고객을 위한 쿠폰 제공하고,
전액 환불을 하지 않는 정책의 숙소의 경우 미환불금액의 50%를 쿠폰으로 준다고 합니다.
(하지만 에어비앤비 쿠폰은 지역 베이스인 경우가 많아서... 쓸수 있는 곳이 한정되어 있지요;;;

루이뷔통(LVMH)은 버버리힐즈의 Luxe 호텔을 구매했습니다.
객실 수는 약 80개 정도 이고, 약 2억 달러(2,400억원) 또는 객실당 약 250만 달러에 구매했다고 합니다.
이 지역의 호텔은 2020년 Brooks Brothers에 이어 두번째 인데요.
현재는 Cheval Blanc 호텔로 재개발 중입니다.
