9번째는 이스턴 앤 오리엔탈입니다.
여기도 래플스 싱가포르의 설립자이기도한 Sarkies Brothers(샤키스 형제라고 읽으면 되겠죠?)에 의해서 세워졌습니다.
(아시는 분은 아시겠지만 이분들은 참 대단하신 분들이죠.ㅎㅎ 벌써 이 리스트에만 3개...ㅎ)
원래 이스턴 호텔과 오리엔탈 호텔이 별도로 1884년과 1885년에 세워졌는데요.
1889년에 통합되었습니다.
헤리티지 윙이 예전 분위기 인것으로 알고있어요.ㅎ

10. Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Cambodia
10번째는 두번째 래플스입니다.
1929년에 오픈한 래플스 호텔 르 로얄입니다.
원래 래플스는 아니었지만, 1997년 래플스로 인수되었습니다.
캄포디아 프놈펜에 있지요.
여기도 찰리 채플린은 다녀갔습니다.
(이 호텔 덕후...라고 하기엔 호텔이 이용해먹는...)
프랑지파니 나무로 둘러쌓인 건물 중정의 수영장이 좋기로 유명하고, 엘리펀트 바(Elephant Bar)의 애프터눈 티도 유명합니다.

마지막은 만다린 오리엔탈 방콕입니다.
최초의 만다린 오리엔탈입니다.
다들 홍콩 브랜드로 알고 계시겠지만... 최초는 이곳이죠.ㅎㅎ
이곳이 1863년에 세워졌으나, 1865년 불타 무너졌습니다.
그래서 실제 공식적인 최초 개장은 1876년으로 소개되고 있습니다.
태국 최초의 호텔이었지요.
